Dance Studio
- offers children beteen the ages of 3 and 5 a foundation in dance and movement. This program  fosters the love of movement and introduces the preschooler to coordination, body alignment and posture,musical rythm, beat and time and perceptual motor skills. Integrated with the physical concepts are intellectual concepts of self awareness, creative expression, imagination and teamwork. Basic pattern jumps,skipping,traveling steps are learned among others. Along with creative movement there's the opportunity to learn the beginning basics of Tap, Ballet and Tumbling. The discipline is your choice. Ballet - teaches balance, arm movements and various types of jumps. Tap - enhances rthym and foot articulation Tumbling - provides development of large motor skills and body strength Your child will develop a sense of classroom behavior and manners (taking turns,waiting patiently, teamwork) as well as confidence, grace, and poise while having fun. The goal is to foster a love and appreciation for the ART OF DANCE. Classes are small and have a student assistant to ensure a positive learning experience. All students have the opportunity to perform in the spring recital and the Ballet student will perform in our ballet production. |
Dress Code - Ballet class- black leotard, pink or
white tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be in a bun. All other classes - any color leotards and tights, and appriate shoes. Teachers will inform students of appropriate shoes. Hair must be pulled back or secured off of student's face. |
